At Brass + Ivory Co., we want to produce high quality kitchen furniture that lasts a lifetime. We use locally sourced materials to build every one of our pieces. We take our time to refine the simplest of details to ensure the premium appearance of fine cabinetry.

The Shaker Collection

  • The Shaker Collection takes its name from the English settlers that came to America and built simple and functional furniture. These cabinets are our gold standard. They are fitting cabinet selection for most kitchens and will elevate your space.

    Every cabinet we make is an inset or flush style close.

    All cabinet boxes are built with full thickness 1/2” birch plywood.

    The face frames are 1 1/2” wide 3/4” thick solid hardwood.

    Doors are constructed with 2 3/4” rails and stiles with a solid wood insert.

    Drawers are constructed of solid faced 3/4” hardwood.

    All door hinges (excluding butt hinges) and drawer slides are soft-close.

    All cabinets in The Shaker Collection are available in 1” increments starting at 9” up to 48”.

    There are several door and drawer arrangements that are outlined in The Shaker Collection Catalogue.

  • There are a variety of hardware options available. We have a few retailers we prefer to use based on established relationships.

    Also, as our name suggests, we love the intrinsic beauty of brass hardware. However, we understand that hardware doesn’t fit everyones style so you have the option to find other hardware and we would be happy to install it.

    All door hinges (excluding butt hinges) and drawer slides are soft-close.

  • There are several finishes available for The Shaker Collection.

    We proudly use Benjamin Moore paint because of the reputation, durability, and vibrant colors. Our favorite colors are:

    • White Dove

    • Swiss Coffee

    • Manchester Tan

    • Yorktown Green

    • Gentlemen’s Gray

    • Regent Green

    We mix our own stains in house. Please ask our design team to show you some samples.

The English Collection

  • The English Collection is our fully customizable line. These cabinets are well-suited for large kitchens with tall ceilings. The simple added details like beaded doors or face frames espouse a grandiose charm.

    Every cabinet we make is an inset or flush style close.

    All cabinet boxes are built with full thickness 1/2” birch plywood.

    The face frames are 2 3/4” wide 3/4” thick solid hardwood.

    Doors are constructed with 2 3/4” rails and stiles with a solid wood insert.

    Drawers, depending on size, in a similar fashion as the doors. 2 3/4” stiles but 2” rails. If they are too short of drawers, they are constructed of solid faced 3/4” hardwood.

    All cabinets in The Shaker Collection are available in 1” increments starting at 9” up to 48”.

The Mill House Collection

  • The Mill House Collection is meant to provide beautiful storage for those that want simple and incredibly functional furniture. These are well suited for pantries, sculleries, long term storage, or any other place where you need solid storage furniture.

    Every cabinet we make is an inset or flush style close.

    All cabinet boxes are built with full thickness 1/2” birch plywood.

    The face frames are 2 3/4” square solid hardwood.

    Shelves are built with slatted 3/4” hardwood shelves.

    Doors are not standard to this line, but custom arrangements can be discussed.

    Drawers are available at the top or in tall cabinets as pull outs with multiple customization options to maximize storage.

  • There are a variety of hardware options available. We have a few retailers we prefer to use based on established relationships.

    Also, as our name suggests, we love the intrinsic beauty of brass hardware. However, we understand that hardware doesn’t fit everyones style so you have the option to find other hardware and we would be happy to install it.

    All slides and hinges are soft-close except for butt hinges.
